What makes an arrival into the world so fragile…

Between the great expectations from the outside and what is played in the closed place of affection… No one, not even the most loving family can promise that everything will be sweet. Being an ocean boy doesn’t change anything…much less king’s son. In the form of a tale, Thomas Scotto wanted to pay tribute to the tremors of birth.

Inspired by the “graphic textures” of the American painter Cy Twombly, Claire Gaudriot has let herself be inspired by poetry – the ocean boy in the heart of the sea – to express in shimmering pencil strokes the passing time, the waiting, the impatience and the fear.
