In a distant kingdom, a horrible tyrant persecutes his people. Coming up with ever wilder ways to hang on to his throne, he decrees one day that all citizens are forbidden from speaking certain words, in hopes of more closely controlling their thoughts. Little by little, words disappear, followed by feelings, and then thoughts, until finally freedom itself is but a fading memory. But the men, women, and children of the land aren’t about to let someone tell them what to do without a fight. They organize, founding a movement they name “The Silenced Words.” With help from sign language and silence, they will lead the revolution the tyrant fears so greatly.
