Illustrated by the great Eve Tharlet, this picture book finds tender words and drawings to tackle a very real problem.
The Book
Little Bear is going to visit his grandma, his father’s mother. He’s mad at her because he thinks his grandma is mean and his mother doesn’t love him. Grandma comforts him by showing him how much she loves him and how important he is to her.
The Writer: Born in 1944 to a family of teachers in Algiers, Catherine Germain has been a reporter, a translator, a bookseller, an editor, and finally an editorial director. Éditions d’Eux is also proud to have published her first solo picture book.
The Illustrator: Born in Alsace, Eve Tharlet grew up in Germany—first Freiburg, then Berlin. She is steeped in two cultures, German and French.
She has illustrated over 150 children’s books and a dozen comics (adapted into animated TV series) translated into different languages. She currently lives in Brittany, not far from the Atlantic coast.
