Inspired by a real case, this tender and moving story poetically highlights the duality of human beings, who are capable of the greatest kindness and the worst tragedies.

THE BOOK: From a soft beach on the Brazilian coast, a penguin and his colony set off into the rough sea. Suddenly, the deep blue blurs, the waves blacken and submerge the feathers of these seabirds.
Stranded on the beach, the little penguin is picked up by gentle, embracing hands, who set him down in the cloudless rain and rub him with a blistering stone to remove the oil that had covered him. A long story of friendship begins between this green-eyed man and the one he calls Dindim.

This tale, inspired by a true story, also gave rise to the film “Mon ami le petit manchot”, starring the actor Jean Reno.
