Turlan Luc

Luc Turlan was born in 1958 in the Jura but settled in Vienne in 1996. A self-taught artist, he was a fan of comics and adopted its lettering style. After trying out advertising in Rouen, he illustrated current events for a student paper, then worked in comics as an assistant colorist.

His flair for color opened the doors of children’s illustration to him in 2002, when he published his first children’s books. Today, Luc Turlan’s ever-expanding oeuvre features diverse and varied works for all ages, from touch-and-feel books to comics to YA novels. He now lives near Poitiers, working in a studio bursting with promising projects.
