Petit Xavier-Laurent

Born in 1956, Xavier-Laurent Petit studied philosophy, then became a teacher and a headmaster. Above all else, he remains a passionate reader, and this passion led him to become a writer in 1994 with two thrillers publishe dby Critérion. His book Colorbelle-ébène, which in 1996 won the Prix Sorcières, an annual children’s literature award, marked the start of his collaboration with the publisher École des loisirs.
Other novels for young readers soon followed, often drawing on current events. Alan the Alien is his first picture book with Benjamins Media and his first time working with Alan Mets. Hooray!
