Le Véel Timothée
Timothée Le Véel is a French illustrator and children’s book author. Le paradis des chats was published in November 2023 by Kaléidoscope/L’École des Loisirs. His books have been translated into several languages, including Italian, Russian and Chinese. He also collaborates with the Naïve production company, for which he illustrated the booklet for the album Mozart’s Last Three Symphonies.
His artistic approach is characterized by the use of traditional media such as graphite pencil, colored pencil or gouache, with the aim of immersing the reader in the content of the drawing. He also appreciates the use of digital media. A lover of cartoons, his figurative representations, with their incisive details, always seek to maintain life through the movement of his characters.
A graduate of LISAA (L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués), he was awarded the Prix Frédéric de Carfort (Fondation de France) in 2016 and the Prix Un Voyage à Bologne (Charte des Auteurs) in 2021.
