Heurtier Annelise

As a girl, Annelise Heurtier would divide her time between gymnastics and books, loving the smell of gymnasiums as much as that of ink on the page. With her girlfriends from gymnastics, she shared powerful moments during competitions all over France. And with her girlfriends from school, she shared a special notebook in which they each had to write and illustrate a story before passing it around. Upon finishing school, she found herself with time on her hands, too “old” for gymnastics… but never too old to dive rigth back into devouring books by the ton. Then she was gripped by a strange idea: what if she herself tried to write one?
