Huet Elsa

After a childhood in the Alps of Haute Provence and three years at Marseille’s Academy of Fine Arts, I took my first steps toward illustration in 2001.

Several picture books have come out since from various publishers in France and Korea (the Korean publications are unavailable in France).

I enjoy working with diverse techniques and media — engraving, collage, ink, painting — and sharing these techniques in workshops.

For a few years now, my husband Jean-Noël Criton and I have been exploring the world of animation. We’ve made two stop motion movies: Les 4 saisons de Poucette [Poucette’s Four Seasons] and Les petites aventures d’une coccinelle myope [The Little Adventures of a Nearsighted Ladybug], which have been projected with live musical accompaniment by Sophie Pillet.
