Billaudeau Julien

Born in Chambray-les-Tours in 1983, Julien Billaudeau has always had his head in the clouds; the stars of his personal firmament were Roald Dahl et Tomi Ungerer. After dabbling widely in drawing and painting, he went to Paris for graduate study at the visual and graphic arts academy L’École Estienne, where he immersed himself in illustration, engraving, lithography, and silkscreening. He further pursued these fields at EnsAD, the École nationale supérieure for decorative arts. After spending a few months in Asia learning about wood engraving, he now illustrates children’s books, exhibits his works in shows, and leads workshops for teenagers.
