Bianco-Levrin Nicolas

After studying graphic design at Paris’ Duperré School of Applied Arts, Nicolas Bianco-Levrin has published over a dozen picture books. His first, Simon Sans Nuit [Nightless Simon] won the Prix graphique Octogone in 2002. Since then, he has worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, as well as for the City of Paris.

In addition to planning festivals for video (Festival Prototype), puppetry (Les Barionnettes), and music (La Patate Chôde), he writes scripts for short animated films and designs sets. He believes a great deal in the connection between animated film and children’s literature.
