Hermouet Véronique
Véronique Hermouet was born 1976, in Nantes.
As a girl, she spent all her time drawing, which led to her studying for a degree in Applies Arts in September 1996, followed by two years toward an Advanced Technical Certificate in Visual Communication.
Over the years, she drifted quite naturally into children’s illustration.
She conceives and creates highly colorful illustrations rich in detail and full of endearing characters.
Once settled in Arcachon Bay, she and her world were soon discovered by a local small press. In n 2006, readers began following her work thorough the adventures of Poiplume et Dokipic. Over the course of 6 years, Véronique authored 18 picture books, illustrated 7 stories for various anthologies, and created several products such as announcement cards for births, weddings, and adoptions, as well as decorations for children’s bedrooms (stickers, wall art, wall decals), a series of postcards, educational games (memory, bingo, dominos, puzzles), sticker sheets of colored dots, and much more!
She is a mommy and full-time artist who has stayed in touch with her inner child.
